Kariri-Sapuyá

GENERAL OVERVIEW

Originated from a group who had their territory and lands taken, as described by Curt Nimuendajú. The former indigenous village of Santa Rosa was expropriated and the indigenous people were deterritorialized and expelled to live in an urban context. Currently, part of this family, from the father's side, is located in several states and in Jequié and, being from the Hã-Hã-Hãe branch, it has acted closer to these peoples.
