Island of Mosqueiro

There are two agrarian reform settlements located on the island of Mosqueiro (Belém) that house about 200 families. Initially, the families were mobilized by the Landless Workers Movement (MST) on the outskirts of the Metropolitan Region of Belém, taking part in political training to occupy the area for the purpose of housing and agricultural production. Currently residents are divided between urban work and agricultural work on the lot.
