Thiago Barbosa de Campos
Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG)
Graduated (2008) and master (2019) in architecture and urbanism, my research interest revolves around the production of space by indigenous peoples, going through the construction (material and symbolic) of their built spaces to the relationship with the territory and its management community. I am interested in investigating the collective actions around such production and the relationship between researchers, architects and non-indigenous advisers in these contexts. I take inspiration from the ethnographic method, acting interactively with the studied populations, having worked with the Xakriabá and Pataxó groups that live in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
